  • I was disinherited by my father, who was extremely abusive to my brother and I all our lives. It was all about attempting to control and causing hurt/pain. This was a man who, if I were as young today and he was doing his "fathering" thing, he'd have been locked up for child abuse.

  • Completely agree with Col. Jacobs. Unfortunately, if these incident, along with all the other recent mistakes we've made, result in an early pull-out, my fear is the Taliban will capitalize on this and convince the Afghans that they are the rightful rulers of their country.
